Shredded money as a novelty.

Fed Shreds are a nickname of banknotes that the United States government finds unfit to be kept in circulation, often due to bad condition. Often, this money is burnt, but the government will also shred it. The shreds are usually disposed of in landfills, but are rarely sold to individuals and businesses as a type of souvenier or novelty item.[1]
