Members of the Wikia Helper Group are here to help the wiki you are involved with.

The Wikia Helper Group is made up of contractors and volunteer interns who are working for Wikia. They could be helping to make your wiki easier to navigate, improving your wiki's interface and design, helping to increase the amount of quality content on your wiki, or improve your wiki's chances of catching Google traffic. They also drop in to say "hi" to new wiki founders and help to greet newcomers.

Though the Wikia Helper Group has the same abilities as administrators across all Wikia wikis, the group does not replace or outrank admins. Even where they are employed by Wikia, they will listen and respond to the views of the community on the wiki they are working on. They aim to respect local wiki policies.

Some Wikia Helpers use signatures on the wiki that link to this page (@fandom). If you're concerned that a non-helper member is using one, please let us know!

Members of the Wikia Helper Group are listed at Special:Listusers/helper.

If you have problems with any of the Wikia helpers that you are unable to resolve with them, you are welcome to contact the Community Team to help.

Fandom is often helped by volunteers from its communities. These volunteers never outrank administrators on a wiki, but they may have certain global user rights similar to Fandom Staff to help Fandom communities more effectively. This page outlines some of the volunteer groups on Fandom.

Helpers

The Fandom Helper group is made up of volunteers working to support and improve non-English communities. Like Fandom staff, Helpers have extended user rights on all wikis, but they do not outrank administrators, and will listen and respond to the views of any community they are working on and helping with.

Members of the Helper group have a @fandom tag in their signatures.

SOAP

The Spam Obliteration and Prevention (SOAP) is a group of Fandom users who have volunteered to help keep Fandom clear and free of spam and vandalism. The group are given additional user rights that allow them to detect, delete, and revert these spam edits, and block these users. You can report vandalism and spam on the SOAP Wiki.

Global Discussions moderators

Global Discussions moderators are a group of users with permissions related to the Discussions feature. Their focus is on community management, community building and social concerns within the Discussions feature specifically. They are assigned to work on specific communities that have requested help or that have been identified by Fandom staff. You can request their help on the Discussions Moderation Requests page.

Vanguard

Vanguard is a group of Fandom users who have volunteered to help make Fandom's content available on the widest possible range of devices. They often hang out at the Portability Hub, where they're involved in all manner of user-generated discussions on the subject. They have been given additional user rights that allow them freer access to the MediaWiki and Template namespaces, Fandom-wide.

Community Council

The Community Council is a group of users chosen from throughout the community by the staff to provide preliminary feedback on new features that are under development. While they do not have additional user rights, other than the ability to see the Community Council Wiki, these volunteer users have a "Councilor" tag on their profiles for the duration of their time in the group.

Issues with these groups

Sometimes, unanticipated disagreements and issues arise between users and groups of volunteers and Helpers. Should this be the case, and you are unable to resolve the issue locally, feel free to contact Fandom Staff using the contact form for help in resolving the matter.
