The 2 lire coin was circulated in the Napoleonic Kingdom of Italy from 1807 to 1814. One of these coins equalled the same amount as 2 francs.[1]

The coin weighed 10 grams and was mostly composed of silver. It had a diameter of 28 mm. The obverse features Napoleon Bonaparte, the designer of the coin, the reverse features the coat of arms of Napoleonic Italy, and the edge has the engraved words "DIO PROTEGGE L'ITALIA", translating to "God Protects Italy". It was engraved by Luigi Manfredini.[1][2]
