The Liechtenstein thaler was the currency of the Principality of Liechtenstein from 1728 to 1868. It was subsequently replaced by the Austro-Hungarian gulden.

Coins[]

Coins of the Liechtenstein thaler denominated at values of 20 kreuzer, and ½ and 1 thaler. These coins were typically composed of silver, but some were composed of gold or platinum.

Minted alongside the coins denominated in thalers were those denominated in 1 and 10 ducats, for use in trade. Most of the ducat coins were composed of gold, but some were minted in platinum.
