The 3 mark coin was minted by the Principality of Lippe in 1913. It had a value of 3.00 gold marks.
The coin was composed of silver, had a mass of 16.67 grams, and a diameter of 33 millimeters. Inscribed on the edge was "GOTT - MIT- UNS" ("GOD - WITH - US"). Displayed on the obverse was an image of Prince Leopold IV surrounded by the legend, "LEOPOLD IV FÜRST ZUR LIPPE". Shown on the reverse was the Reichsadler of the German Empire with the state title (DEUTSCHES REICH), the value, and the year of minting. A total of 15,100 of these coins were produced at the Berlin Mint.
