The 25 ban coin was minted by Moldova from 1993 to 2011. It is currently found in circulation within the country.
The coin is composed of aluminum, weighs 0.95 grams, and measures 17.5 millimeters in diameter by 1.7 millimeters in thickness. Its edge is smooth. Displayed on the obverse is the coat of arms of Moldova, with an oak branch below and the state title (REPUBLICA MOLDOVA) to the sides. Shown on the reverse, designed by Constantin Dumitrescu, was the value and year of minting, with the letter "M" below.
