The 10 cent coin was first minted by Namibia in 1993, and since then has been minted in 1996, 1998, 2002, and 2009. Today, it is commonly found in circulation.
The coin is composed of nickel plated steel, weighes 3.5 grams, and measures 21.5 millimeters in diameter, and 1.3 millimeters in thickness. Displayed on the obverse is the coat of arms of Namibia, with the state title (REPUBLIC OF NAMIBIA) and the year of minting below. Depicted on the reverse is a Camel Thorn tree and the value with half of a sun.
