The 200 dollar banknote was first issued by Namibia during 1996. Though the notes have only been printed during this year, they still remain in circulation.
The 200 dollar banknote is predominantly purple in color, but there are also parts of the note that are red or blue in color. It has a width of 152 millimeters by 70 millimeters. Displayed on the obverse is former Namaqua Chief, Hendrik Witbooi with the Tintenpalast and coat of arms of Namibia. Shown on the reverse are four Roan Antelope and the flag of Namibia.
