The 1¼ centesimo coin was minted by Panama during 1940. It had a value of 0.0125 balboas.
The coin was composed of bronze, had a mass of 3.1 grams, a diameter of 20 millimeters, and a thickness of 1.15 millimeters. Displayed on the obverse is an effigy of Spanish conquistador, Vasco Núñez de Balboa. On the reverse is the value (written as "UNO Y CUARTO CENTESIMOS") and the state title ("REPUBLICA DE PANAMA"). A total of about 1,600,000 of these coins were produced.
